To improve the quality of life for cancer patients who are financially in need by helping them obtain medically related items not covered by insurance.
What Items Are Covered
Items requested must be DIRECTLY related to the cancer diagnosis.
We provide nutritional supplements, incontinence products, voice prosthesis, wigs, compression garments, bath chairs and various other durable medical equipment, ostomy supplies, mastectomy bras, breast prostheses, and other items that are not always covered by insurance. Vouchers are issued to patients for items that need to be fitted or personally selected. Most other items can be delivered to a patient’s home. In order to be good stewards of the funds available for this program, we limit the quantities of some of these items and all patients receiving assistance through this program are subject to a limited amount of assistance per calendar year.
Who Is Eligible?
Any person with a cancer diagnosis with annual household income at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines. Patients enrolled in a hospice program are not eligible for assistance.
Patients must reside in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, Franklin County, Lincoln County or Warren County in Missouri; Madison, Monroe or St. Clair Counties in Illinois OR come to the St. Louis Metro area for treatment.
A written referral form must be completed in full by a healthcare professional and sent to Cancer Support Community.
